GSR Privacy Policy

The Gopher State Roundup is a 501(c)(3) non-profit (GSR). GSR values the privacy of our participants. GSR collects information only to help us better serve our participants and the recovery community. It is our policy to collect and store only personal information that is knowingly provided to us. We do not share personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection of information from this website, that can personally identify you and/or your organization, and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. Any personal information collected through registration is collected by, owned by, and maintained by Squared Root LLC, our online registration system. Personal Information Collected

Through GSR's participant tools, GSR may collect and store contact information from individuals as it is knowingly provided to us, including email addresses. GSR does not distribute personal information or email addresses to third parties. We use this information to contact individuals via email and mail with additional resources that might be of interest, including hospitality suites, volunteering, and room rentals. You may choose at any time not to provide personally identifiable information, although this may restrict our ability to provide information.

The following are examples of personally identifiable information that you may volunteer to provide and examples of how we use such information.

• Email Addresses - GSR collects email addresses provided to GSR through the hospitality suite registration, volunteering, and other general. GSR may use your email address to send you emails from GSR, including participant updates. To unsubscribe to any or all of GSR emails, email privacy@gopherstate.org with the subject line UNSUBSCRIBE. GSR does not distribute email addresses to third parties.
• Mailing Addresses - GSR may collect mailing addresses of those that register for our roundup by mail. GSR may send via mail promotional flyers, registration for groups, and other participant items. To opt out of any mailings from GSR, email privacy@gopherstate.org with the subject line UNSUBSCRIBE or write to Gopher State Roundup, PO Box 390533, Minneapolis, MN 55439-2026. GSR only distributes publicly available organizational addresses, and in doing so does not associate individual names, except main contacts, to third parties.
• Cookies - Many websites, including this one, use cookies - pieces of numeric data stored on your computer so that we can identify when you return to our website. GSR does not "read" cookies that may placed on your computer from our own website. Usage of cookies is not linked to any personally identifiable information. Financial Data Security

GSR does not retain or disclose checking account or credit card account information provided by its participants. When participants choose to pay by credit card they are paying through Square and GSR does not own or maintain that data.

Choice to Opt Out

GSR provides all participants the opportunity to opt out of having your personal information used for certain purposes. If you are a participant of GSR and no longer wish to receive communications from GSR, or would like GSR to erase any personal data we hold about you, you may opt out of receiving communications by emailing []. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Photographs

GSR does not take photographs during its events, we do not solicit photographs from our participants, nor do we share photographs via this website, social media, or other means. Photos by participants are not banned and may be taken in public settings during public events.

How Long We Retain Your Data

For users that volunteer through our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile indefinitely. Website administrators can see and edit that information. See CHOICE TO OPT OUT below for instructions on how to request removal of your data from GSR's database.
